In the “Trout in the Classroom” instructional seminar on average 25 4th grades students...
•work with volunteers from Trout Unlimited
• raise Rainbow Trout from eggs to fry
• maintain the trout tank and conduct daily quality checks of tank water
• participate in a stream habitat study to develop an understanding of ecosystems
• The entire 4th grade team participates in Trout Release at Eden Brook Park
During this release the students rotate through stations. They take an educational walk around the trout habitat with a Park Ranger, learn how to fly cast, make fish flies, study microinvertibrates, and release the trout.
