Energy Conservation

At Swansfield Elementary...
• The Green Beanz came up with a program for SES to use to conserve energy. They presented their plan to each team and again at a school wide assembly.  Each classroom is given a "Saw You Being GREEN" poster to complete.  Each time the students turn  off the lights in the classroom, they color in one of the blocks in the tens frames.  When the class has turned off the lights 50 times, they earn a class prize including "It's Great to be GREEN" bracelets, class door knob lanyards, and earth friendly charms.  Their accomplishments are shared on the morning announcements.
